Description

This is the oldest story, so why did I choose to make this? Very often Eve is depicted as thoughtful, passively posing for viewers to admire her body, perhaps with a snake draped alluringly around her; or as a temptress to Adam; or focused on discovering shame of the nude body. Sometimes she is strategically covered to stay within limits of conservative Christian eroticism. I have chosen to depict her unashamed, in a moment of action. This is the moment she is about to partake of the fruit of the tree of knowledge. The pose is based on the Roman Dying Gaul statue, not designed to entice men, but meant to be symbolic of the impending consequence: death.
